Terms & Conditions
1. ACCURACY AND INFORMATION
Countrywide Golf Holidays has taken all the necessary steps to ensure that all provided
information and prices are accurate. However if we identify an error or omission
following publication, we will inform you before confirming your booking.
The revised information will then form part of your contract. If an error or omission
is discovered after your booking is made, we will always try to advise you prior
to your holiday.
2. RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT TERMS
Golf tee-times, accommodation and hire cars are all offered subject to availability.
A deposit of 30 % of the total value of the booking is required to secure a booking.
We may also be required to ask for additional deposit amount for certain bookings
where we need to pre-pay an additional sum to secure your booking.
The subsequent balance of your booking must be paid for, not later than sixty days
prior to arrival, or upon confirmation of booking, if the booking is within sixty
days of commencement. If the balance is not paid by the due date, we reserve the
right to cancel your booking and retain your deposit.
No allowance can be made for tee-times not utilised, rooms not occupied or hire
cars not utilised during the period of the booking.
3. CANCELLATIONS
Clients are reminded that a holiday booking is a legally binding contract. If you
cancel or shorten your holiday, you are still liable to pay. Should you have to
cancel your break for any reason, please inform Countrywide Golf Holidays immediately
in writing. Cancellation charges calculated from the day notification is received
are as follows:

4. ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT
Countrywide Golf Holidays accepts the following forms of payment
(i) Personal/company cheques made payable to 'Countrywide Golf Holidays
CC'.
(ii) Bank transfers.
5. COSTS
(i) All rates are per person based on two people sharing a twin
or double room, unless stated otherwise.
(ii) No single room supplement is charged where a single room is available.
If a twin or a double room is let as a single room, a supplement may be charged.
(iii) Non-golfer rates are available.
(iv) VAT is inclusive at 14%.
(v) We reserve the right to increase the price of any golf holiday advertised
on our website.
(vi) Prices are subject to change due to currency fluctuations, fuel and rate
increases.
6. BOOKING CONFIRMATION
On receipt of your payment, we will email confirmation of your booking with Countrywide
Golf Holidays. The confirmation will clearly state the balance to be paid and the
date by which it is due.
Please check the confirmation carefully to ensure that all your booking details
are correct. Contact us if your confirmations appear to be incorrect or incomplete
and we will endeavour to make the necessary changes.
Countrywide Golf Holidays reserves the right to make changes to and correct errors
after bookings have been confirmed.
7. DRESS CODE
We cannot accept any responsibility in any ruling by the hotel/golf course if you
or any of your group is unable to play due to inappropriate attire.
8. DRESS CODE
Knowledge of golf etiquette and the rules for golf are expected by all members of
your group. Some golf courses will require handicap certificates before accepting
a visitor, which we will try to advise you of at the time of booking.
9. TEE-TIMES
Golf courses reserve the right to alter confirmed tee times. If your confirmed golf
club cancel your reservation or change your tee time we will try to find a suitable
alternative. You will be charged or refunded for any difference in the original
cost. Such changes do not entitle you to cancel a holiday that is part of a package.
Please also be aware that some golf courses may pair you up with other golfers during
peak times.
10. CONDITIONS OF GOLF COURSE
The condition of golf courses varies throughout the year. General golf course maintenance
on tee boxes, fairways and greens are an essential feature of golf course preparation.
Countrywide Golf Holidays cannot be held responsible for the impact of such work.
11. OUR DESCRIPTIONS
The descriptions of the hotels and golf courses and other aspects of the holidays
are based on opinions gained on site visits and on the opinions of suppliers themselves.
We are not always able to exercise control over all the components of the holiday
arrangements and it is possible that an advertised amenity be withdrawn or changed
due to various reasons such as water conservation, renovation work, etc. We will
advise you if we become aware of a major change but we cannot accept liability for
loss, damage or inconvenience in such circumstances.
12. BEHAVIOUR
Throughout your booking with Countrywide Golf Holidays you accept full liability
for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your group.
13. PASSPORTS, VISAS AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that they are in possession of
valid travel documents, including passports, visas, health certificates, etc. Countrywide
Golf Holidays cannot accept any liability for incorrect documentation.
14. TRAVEL INSURANCE
Countrywide Golf Holidays strongly recommends that comprehensive travel insurance
is put in place. Some insurance companies may consider the game of golf as a dangerous
sport and you should mention your participation when obtaining a quotation. Countrywide
Golf Holidays is not responsible for personal injury, accident, or illness; or for
loss, damage or theft of personal belongings.
15. WEATHER CONDITIONS DURING YOUR GOLF HOLIDAY
Bad weather is unavoidable during the year. Golf courses reserve the right to close
or operate temporary tee boxes / greens.
Should you choose not to travel we will try and postpone your golf holiday, however
refunds are subject to the policy of the hotel / golf course.
Refunds are available due to golf course closure but golf played on temporary tee
boxes / greens is non-refundable and is considered to be an accepted part of playing
golf.
Countrywide Golf Holidays cannot be held responsible due to inclement weather conditions.
16. SPECIAL REQUESTS AND MEDICAL PROBLEMS
If you have any special requests, you must advise us at the time of booking. Although
we will endeavour to meet any such requests we regret we cannot guarantee to do
so.
17. COMPLAINTS
Countrywide Golf Holidays acts as an agent for each supplier. If you have a complaint
or experience any problems during your holiday please inform the relevant service
provider immediately during your golf holiday. We recommend asking to speak to the
General Manager and taking up the matter with them. If an acceptable conclusion
is not reached during your golf holiday please notify us in writing by letter or
email within one calendar month of your date of departure.
18. LIABILITY
If you have any complaints concerning any services we provide you must inform us
in writing by letter or email within 28 days of your departure date.
We cannot accept any liability for the arrangements you have booked. Any assistance
provided in resolving a complaint in relation to any Resort booking is provided
on a goodwill basis and in our capacity as agent.
If you have a complaint concerning any services we provide, as opposed to any service
provided by any third party such as a hotel for whom we are not responsible, you
must inform us immediately in writing within 28 days of your departure date. We
regret we cannot accept any liability if we are not so notified. Our maximum liability
to you if we are found to have been at fault in relation to any service we provide
is limited to the commission we have earned or are due to earn in relation to the
booking in question.
19. EXTRAS
Please note that all extra’s consumed on site such as Food, Drink, Entertainment,
Spa Treatments and Transport must be paid for by you and your booking with Countrywide
Golf Holidays only includes the package set out in your confirmation email and invoice.
We accept no liability for any charges you consume on site in relation to any extras
outside of your package.
20. CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS BY US
Countrywide Golf Holidays reserves the right to make changes to, correct errors
and adjust pricing on our website and in our brochure both before and after bookings
have been confirmed.
21. FORCE MAJEURE
Countrywide Golf Holidays will not be liable for additional expenses incurred through
travel delay, Acts of God, force majeure or events beyond our control, Force majeure
is unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control such as war or threat
of wars, riots, civil unrest, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or
nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions. Changes made as a result of
these circumstances do not constitute any reason for refund. Countrywide Golf Holidays
will extent our full assistance; however, all additional charges will be for the
account of the client.
22. OUR RESPONSIBILITY
Countrywide Golf Holidays endeavour to make sure that all parts of the holiday are
arranged, performed or provided with the necessary expertise and care. Our liability
in all our bookings shall be limited to a maximum of the cost of your booking with
Countrywide Golf Holidays.
23. SOUTH AFRICAN LAW
Your booking with Countrywide Golf Holidays and all matters arising out of it are governed by South African Law.
On advancement of the tour deposit to Countrywide Golf Holidays, the depositor agrees to be bound by the above recited terms and conditions.
